Middleton Lodge – a newly refurbished hotel and restaurant at Middleton Tyas – ideal for Sunday Lunch or a special occasion. www.middletonlodge.co.uk

The Swaledale Museum – open from the end of May.  The museum houses a unique collection of the history of Swaledale from pre-historic days to the present.  www.swaledalemuseum.org

Richmond Station – The converted railway station in Richmond that is now a cinema, restaurant, arts and retail complex with something for everyone.  Next door to Richmond Swimming Pool. www.richmondstation.com

The Garden Rooms at Tennants is open seven days a week and has free to enter exhibitions and displays including rare and beautiful objects coming up for auction at Tennants, the adjacent salerooms.  There is an on site restaurant and cafe and free parking www.tennantsgardenrooms.com
